Athens-Clarke County Police Evidence Storage Facility

The Police Evidence Building, built for Athens Clarke County Police Department is a two story evidence processing and storage facility.  McKnight Construction was responsible for all site work, building construction, paving, and landscaping for the area.  The building includes an administrative area, a drive through area for evidence processing, and a 2-story mezzanine storage rack for evidence organization.  The extensive storage system includes pedestrian walkways on each story and an elevator. In addition, a large full service generator was installed to ensure smooth operations 24 hours a day/7 days a week.  The Evidence Storage Facility achieved LEED certification for green efforts during design and construction.
