Mason McKnight Senior founds M. H. McKnight, a residential construction company building homes in the Augusta area.
MCKNIGHT EXPANDS
M. H. McKnight expands into publically owned projects.
mason mcknight joins
Mason McKnight, Jr. joins his father’s company after serving in the United States Military in North Korea.

McKnight Construction Company is incorporated
mcknight revenue doubles
McKnight Construction’s revenue doubles as the company expands its Higher Education and Federal work.
mcknight builds headquarters
McKnight Construction builds its Headquarters in Augusta, Georgia. This office has continued to grow, and a major renovation and addition took place in 2025.
McKnight moves into Healthcare
McKnight Construction continues to diversify by incorporating a Healthcare Division into the portfolio of growing projects. Revenues continue to grow steadily and the company diversifies and expands.

The Fourth Generation Begins
Though they have worked in the construction industry since childhood, in the 2010’s the 4th Generation begins to permanently work at McKnight Construction. Since their joining, McKnight has seen the most significant growth in company history. Together, they tripled McKnight Construction’s revenue and brought innovation and national recognition to the company.
NEW PRESIDENT AND WOMEN OWNERSHIP
Presidential Leadership passes to CEO Jane Marie Kinsey and McKnight Construction becomes a Women-Owned Business with the fourth generation taking the reins.
MCKNIGHT EXPANDS
McKnight Construction expands it’s Headquarters and adds offices in Savannah and Spartanburg to better serve our owners.
