The Oak Street Health Center project was a renovation of an 8,800 SF retail space into a state-of-the-art medical office. The project included 18 exam rooms, a lab, and a reception area, all with high-end finishes and custom casework. Despite challenges such as asbestos abatement and tight scheduling, the project was completed on time and within budget.

Challenge

The project had a tight schedule due to the owner's need to hire doctors and have them start on a specific date, compounded by long lead times for HVAC equipment that were further extended after ordering.

Solution

Through proactive coordination with the owner, McKnight performed work out of traditional sequence to ensure that no time was lost.
